ThreadRecap
ActiveSmart analysis of WhatsApp conversations
Overview
ThreadRecap turns an exported WhatsApp conversation into a structured, timestamped record. Instead of scrolling back through thousands of messages or replaying long voice notes, you get a clean timeline of what was decided, promised, paid, and agreed — each point tied to an exact date and a verbatim quote of what was written or said.
The product is built around dispute and evidence documentation: commercial, legal, and personal disagreements. When an agreement is later contested — a payment, a deadline, a scope change, a responsibility — the report gives you the dated citation that backs your version. Voice notes are transcribed and merged inline into the timeline, so nothing agreed by audio gets lost in the thread.
Reports are generated in seconds and can be downloaded as PDF, Word, or Markdown, or pushed straight to Notion, Trello, and Google Calendar. Your .zip is unpacked in your browser, photos and videos are not uploaded, and you can delete chats and reports whenever you want. You can try it with free credits on the ThreadRecap site.
The problem
The decisions that actually matter in a project, a deal, or a dispute rarely live in a formal document — they're scattered across WhatsApp, buried between small talk, links, and voice notes. When something is questioned weeks or months later, you're left rereading the whole history or replaying long recordings to find the one line that proves what was agreed. ThreadRecap solves exactly that: locating, with a date and a quote, where a promise, a payment, or a responsibility actually appeared in the conversation.
